Distressed Assets / NPL Portfolio ManagementWorking at Credit Agricole CIB (formerly Calyon Italy) as Senior Manager at the Distressed Assets department.In charge for following the relevant investments in NPLs portfolios (about 700 M€ equity stake), concerning basically the following matters: loans management and quantitative analysis, business planning and reporting, finance structuring, relationship management with servicers.Also managing the workout of in-house generated distressed files (about 200 M€ NBV), either in charge or with a consultancy role. This responsibility gave me the opportunity of participating actively to the restructuring of various relevant cases, some of which listed companies. In connection with this role, I seated as a permanent member in the Weak List / Provision Committee of CA-CIB Milan Branch, which meets quarterly.Finally, I was in charge for overseeing the investments of CA-CIB's directly participated Private Equity fund (Atlantis Capital Special Situation) specialized in turnaround of special situations, where CA-CIB was one of the two “lead Investors”.

Head of Outsourcing Projects - Acquisitions team memberI was in Società Gestione Crediti Srl (SGC) as Team Leader of Loan Management Department, in charge for outsourcing projects and being a key member of acquisitions team in Italy. There I had to oversee and coordinate the outsourcing partner that reached a workforce of forty members. I was also a permanent member of the weekly committee in charge of out of court resolution approval.SGC is a financial company operating mainly as servicer in securitization deals, which was acquired in October 2001 by Archon Group Italia, a company fully owned by Goldman Sachs. I had been previously in SGC for about four years (see below), but with different roles.

Structured Finance - Real Estate AcquisitionIn EUROASSET Italia as Project Manager structured finance. EUROASSET is a joint-venture established in 2003 by KGAL - KG Allgemeine Leasing GmbH & Co. – and Centro Leasing SpA, where I participated to the realization of two significant Real Estate structured deals, one of which financed through leasing.

Aquisition Specialist - Head of Regulatory Affaires and NPLs Portfolios Unsecured Analist TeamFor the first time in SGC as Business Controller, where I took part to the start-up of new business line started in 1999, at present the core business, reporting directly to the CFO and the general manager.My main tasks was the structuring of the external reporting to investors and the developing of the management control function. Meanwhile, from September 2001, I managed the SGC Euro project in cooperation with the European IT department.Due to SGC and Archon Group Italia integration process, I was given the responsibility of the Regulatory Affair function, in order to manage Centrale dei Rischi (Bank of Italy reporting) and all the accomplishments deriving from anti-money laundering legislation.Moreover, being appointed the analyst of SGC owned portfolios, I worked at the restructuring of traditional business line (credit collection of portfolios bought directly by the company before 2000). During my experience in SGC I was also deeply involved in several portfolios acquisition, with a supervisory role and in charge for analysis & modeling, in strict cooperation with Goldman Sachs Mortgage Company professionals, and with responsibilities for the budget of acquisition deals.Finally, together with SGC Internal Audit manager and the consultants in charge, I took part in developing the Internal Audit function, to comply with Bank of Italy’s specific regulation and group standard policies, maintaining relationship with external and statutory auditors.All these activities above mentioned I succeed to manage being responsible for a team of six people: two administrative clerks and four portfolio analysts (two senior and two junior).

Head of Management Control Department and in charge for special projectsEmployed in Essilor Italia SPA, the Italian subsidiary of the French parent company Essilor International, world leader in production and sales of ophthalmic lenses.There I started working in charge for a critical special project, the implementation of the new accounting information system.According to the internationalization of this project that followed, I was appointed the Italian subsidiary representative for the Group for the accounting information system renewal.During this experience I had the opportunity of living in Paris, working directly for the parent company that is located there.In April 1999 I was still the supervisor of this project and I was also appointed Financial Controller of the subsidiary and, for a short period, accounting department director too, directly under the control of the Chief Financial Officer of the Italian subsidiary.

I started working for Price Waterhouse (now PWC) audit department.During this experience I contributed to the auditing of numerous relevant companies, operating in different sector of the economy, i.e.: Banca Fideuram, IMI Sigeco (now Banca IMI), Bca Pop. Di Novara; Galbani, Trinity (Bolton Group); CIGA Hotel.In addiction I had been assigned to some really specific consulting projects for CIGA, Galbani and Omnitel (now Vodafone). These experiences I consider having been very important for the completion of my professional background.
