Chiquita’s 2nd largest distribution center in their worldwide operations, leading in sales revenue at over $70M yearly with the distribution of 70,000 cases weekly. I managed budgets, P&L, contracts of $1M+ and capital improvement projects up to $25M. Managed and scheduled 5 fleet drivers and 68 third party drivers. HIGHLIGHTS:• Led cross-functional effort that significantly increased sales by more than doubling the number of truckloads per week over a 4-year period with no increase in manpower. Instead, we improved product flow, streamlined warehouse operations, and maximized loads to create this impact. • Managed 15 employees/73 drivers and first line supervisors across multiple departments • Ensured compliance with regulatory agencies including: DOT, PUC, OSHA, FMCR, FDA, Dept. of Agriculture, DEA, Homeland Security, Customs, PAUST, HACCP and local municipal agencies • Used LEAN tools to reduce costs
