Lead Environment & Character ArtistAtabey Creations May 2024 - PresentMadrid, Comunidad De Madrid, España- Due to my background experience in 3D modeling, I manage a team of 6 environment artists, keeping track of the tasks being done and ensure they are completed within the deadlines and with the requiered quality, besides of being suitable for the visuals we aim for.- I keep communication with all the departments to keep track of tasks and organize the workflow so it can be done without delay.- I assisted to seek out the visual style for "Eyes on Yuki", the game we are developing along with the other art departments so the visuals would fit exactly the type of game we want.- During the visual search, I worked closely with the Lead Artist to test out the assets and explore texturing styles that would fit well the gameplay.- When helping the Technical department, i did some Level Art on UE5, dressing the level to speed up the overall process, dressing up the whole level we currently have.- I do assist with modeling, UV fixing and texturing of the assets and characters that require so to speed up the process and fulfill the roadmap deadlines.- Check the models the team hands over to ensure they have appropiate topologies, are optimized, fit the Texel, Pivots and UVs before they can proceed with baking, texturing, or any other later process. -
Concept ArtistAtabey Creations Nov 2023 - Sep 2024Madrid, Comunidad De Madrid, España- I am in charge of developing concept art designs for different required assets, from characters, to props and environments.-Within characters, I do specialize in creatures that are suitable for the spooky, cozy style we look for.- In prop design I do a lot of the turrets and assets the main characters use, meaning they need to be functional to be animated, and not too complex for a RTS like view.- Besides of the design, I develop variations of each one and the corresponding view for the 3D departments to model without issues, plus material renders for an easy visualization in terms of texturing and baking.- In environment design, I help design the visuals of the levels through paintovers of the maps to capture the general vibe. This can visually aid the Technical department and Level Artists to visualize the idea once it starts being build on the engine.- After the base concepts are finished, I assisted other departments that required aditional help, like UI/UX, more level design for future levels, assets or enemies if needed. -
