Senior Prospect Research Associate

The Senior Prospect Research Associate performs research, analysis, interpretation, and documentation in support of the Prospect Research and other Children's Foundation programs. Prospect Research - Consultation *As a key member of the Foundation's fundraising team, collaborate and consult on matters related to portfolio development, solicitation strategy formation and information gathering through peer screenings. Interpret results and provide direction on the segmentation and management of large groups of prospects and donors identified through the electronic screening process. Efficiently monitor a core group of principal gift prospects and maintain an active awareness of the important news and events involving them. Major Gift Prospect Identification *Proactively plan and execute appropriate strategies to identify major gift prospects to ensure that the Foundation has sufficient prospects to meet its annual fundraising goals and successfully complete a $150 million comprehensive campaign. Develop and execute strategies to differentiate prospects based on the characteristics of major donors (recency of giving, frequency of giving, value of giving + interest + ability). Differentiation may include the development of existing donor surveys, descriptive and predictive models, and/or a prospect rating system. Prospect Research Analysis and Writing *Provide high-level research on individuals, corporations, and foundations using a wide variety of biographical, organizational, and financial resources. Extract and communicate key information to assist with cultivation and solicitation strategies. Analyze and synthesize accumulated information to assess financial capacity, philanthropic tendencies, giving propensity, and linkages to Children's. Research/identify potential volunteers for leadership positions, stewardship events, benefit events, and fundraising/campaign committees.
