As a Surgical Technologist, I provide support to surgeons and nurses in all surgical procedures, ensuring a safe, controlled and sterile environment. I have a Bachelors in Healthcare Administration from King University, where I learned the fundamentals of business administration and management. I have over twenty years of experience in healthcare, sixteen of those specializing in surgery. My specialties include trauma, transplant, Vascular, Endovascular, Neurology, General, Orthopedics and Pediatrics. I have many years in Adult Education in both the classroom and laboratory setting as well as eight years of experience as an Organ Preservation Coordinator, where I coordinated the recovery, perfusion and allocation of donated organs for transplantation. Within that role I cross trained in Quality, Hospital Development as well as Family Care Services. I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organization skills, which help me to work effectively with diverse teams in many different environments. I am passionate about improving the quality of life for patients and donors, and I strive to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in my work.
