Manage the supplier relationship and assess risks associated with vendors in the manufacture and supply of purchased components in five major categories: metals, plastics, electronics, packaging and sourced finished medical devices. Perform qualification of parts through the Acceptance Activity process to validate supplier capability.

Generate the strategies, plans and programs that guarantee the assurance and control of acquisitions, inventories, delivery time of finished products and materials according to the production program and commitments made with the commercial area at UPL Mexico and International level, in order to ensure the supply in a timely manner to meet the net working capital established by UPL Global.

• Lead and participate on multi-functional teams responsible for new product programs, support the Engineering Change Management process (ECM) so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost effective manner.• Integrate suppliers into the EPDP process, and maintain an ongoing relationship to monitor and improve supplier performance; define corrective actions, and when necessary, obtain assistance from other functional representatives to resolve short-term performance problems.• Drive continuous improvement in terms of performance and lowest total cost with the supply base utilizing the Achieving Excellence process/criteria and other appropriate supply management tools.• Be responsible for establishing part level procurement plans to optimize piece price, logistics costs, tooling, and inventory; negotiate with supplier when cost does not meet commercial target.• Lead target costing process discussions while engaging key disciplines, communicating to stakeholders, and documenting target costs. Be responsible for developing gap recovery plans when target costs are missed.• Represent Supply Management in functional team meetings working to ensure cost targets are met, challenging designs when appropriate, and driving decisions in a timely and cost effective manner to meet program milestones.• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of components in support of Physical Builds and Production Builds.• Manage the transition of parts from PDP to production and Service• Identify and achieve cost reduction projects for at least the 5% of the cost of the productEnterprise Collaboration Award 2020 winner Peña Nevada Cab PDP, the project required an aligned effort from team members at 7 locations, spread across 5 different countries including 3 factories and 3 time zones.

• Ensures or manages the development and implementation of enterprise/divisional strategies, defining and integrating supply chains that support Enterprise Product Delivery Process(EPDP) and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and significantly impact enterprise financial and operational objectives.• Develops, builds and maintains an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance; measures the performance of the supplier and defines corrective actions; obtains assistance from other functional representatives such as quality, product engineering, etc. as appropriate. Leads and/or supports the negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers resulting in cost models, an implementation strategy and a documented agreement, ensuring the Company metrics.

• Negotiation of prices and conditions with national and foreign suppliers• Update of framework contracts in SAP system.• Generation of alternatives and / or negotiations with suppliers to reduce and / or adjust prices.• Preparation of purchase orders and tracking orders.• Update of database and indicators for decision making.• Development of national and foreign suppliers.• Generation of reports for evaluations of allocation of volumes to suppliers.• Participation in the "B2B Electronic Billing" project, giving attention and follow-up to Group suppliers.
