Andrea Gandolfo was born in Bergamo (Italy) in 1975 and graduated as an editor at the "Cinema, Televisione e Nuovi Media" school in Milan.He initially worked as a television editor, quickly moving on to fiction and documentary film. As an editor, he edits many feature films and short films, several of which have received international awards, including "Viaggio intorno a Miracolo a Milano" by Sanela Bajiric, "Paraguay fue noticias" by Ricardo Alvarez, "Fuera de campo" by Hugo Gimenez, "La tierra sin mal" and "Power and Impotence" by Anna Recalde Miranda, "Felices los que lloran" by Marcelo Torcida, "Ore Ru" by Armando Aquino, "Rua" by Daniela Candia, "Killing the dead" by Hugo Gimenez and "Orsai ” by Emiliano Gomez. It also edits television series, commercials, music videos, among others.As first editing assistant and second editor, he works on several fiction feature films such as "Fame Chimica" by Paolo Vari, "Onde" by Francesco Fei, "La cura del gorilla" by Carlo Sigon, "The shadow within" by Silvana Zancoló, " Le quattro volte" by Michelangelo Frammartino (winner of the Best European Film award at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival).As a director, from 1998 to today, he has made several fiction short films and a documentary feature film, "Corpo di bis".He currently lives in Paraguay, working as an editor, sound designer and executive producer in the production company "Picante", of which he is a founding partner. For years he was a teacher of Editing at the IPAC Institute and in the Cinematography career at the Columbia University of Paraguay, he also teaches editing workshops and seminars.
