Accounting is a fundamental part of the business world and it’s subject area largely influences growth, management and decision making in a large variety of businesses. What interests me the most in this field is analysing financial information without the need for extensive knowledge of specific areas. Accountants can aid the growth and development of a business and assist with the key roles in managerial decisions. The influential nature of accountancy is a key motivating factor in my choice of study and pursuing a career in this field, alongside the variety of knowledge each business can provide. I believe efficiency and attention to detail is key alongside immaculate customer service. Dedication and commitment allows me to enjoy a powerful career in various aspects of accountancy. In my current role I am managing a large VAT portfolio. This includes all aspects from bookkeeping, to quarterly VAT returns, preparation of Accounts and CT600 alongside personal tax returns and any ad-hoc work required, which I am assisted by and responsible for my team of 3 others.
