I hold a position of a deputy mayor responsible for education, innovation and digitalisation in the third biggest city in the Czech republic. This position gives me the opportunity to work on more efficient system of education, using my knowledge and practical experience working in the field of education for more than 16 years. I have worked in the field of education, lecturing and using communication and presentation skills focusing of educating teachers and teacher trainees. My working experience bursts from cooperation with several universities, multi-national and Czech companies and politics. I have been politically active since 2014, getting into a position of deputy mayor of Ostrava city in 2018. In my academic career I focus on research in American literature and realia, especially drama. My main interest was contemporary fiction, ethnic and women writing, British and American drama. I am responsible for literature curricula and coordination of teaching literary subjects and preparation of future teachers of English, working on empowering media and reading literacy. In 2012 I was honoured Fulbright scholarship and focused on Contemporary American Fiction. I had the opportunity lecturing in Slovakia, Greece, Norway, Finland, Ireland (Trinity College), Austria, Poland and the USA and participated in many international conferences as well, sharing own experiences and learning from the others. I was in charge of the international relationships of the Department of Foreign Languages of Palacký university dealing with organisation of international events and seminars and running an student exchange programme with the University of Wyoming. I also provided language audits, made-to-measure individual and group courses, preparation for exams, e-learning.I devoted the rest of the time to PR and events. I was in charge of several election campaigns (2014 European Parliament, Green Party, 2014 Local elections, Green Party, 2017 Parliamentary elections, Pirate Party, 2018 - volunteering for presidential elections for Jiří Drahoš) as well as organizing events for private institutions.
