I did this by creating schedules based on orangutan priority information and personally reviewing all data. Further responsibilities included the tracking of orangutans using radio telemetry equipment, collection of behavioral data, monitoring physical well-being of released orangutans, processing and transport of all field data, orangutan translocation, supply inventory, training of new employees and volunteers, collection of monthly phenology data, analysis of behavioral and ecological data, design of new databases, writing of updates and reports, logistical travel and supply planning, and assistance during medical procedures and orangutan releases.The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation is an Indonesian non-for-profit organization that aims to conserve the Bornean orangutan and its habitat by providing rehabilitation, sanctuary, and release for the great apes while cooperating with local communities, governmental organizations, and foreign bodies. -

There I worked with a variety of species including Wolf's guenons, black-and-gold howler monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, white-faced saki monkeys, golden lion tamarins, mandrills, talapoin monkeys, black-and-white ruffed lemurs, western lowland gorillas, Sumatran orangutans, and siamangs.The Audubon Zoo, part of the Audubon Nature Institute, is an AZA-accredited non-profit organization that aims to provide animals with the highest level of care while using them as instruments to educate the public and help conserve species from around the globe. -
