About Andrea Lawrence

With over 35 years in the (re)insurance industry, I have experience in a wide range of disciplines which provides a solid foundation for my Head of P&C NA Operations role. In this role I manage many functions for Gen Re's North America Treaty and Facultative business units such as underwriting support, technical accounting, claims & business operations as well as reporting. I work closely with IT to deliver key business projects as we progress our system modernization and operational efficiency program.I am proud to be an Executive Sponsor for Gen Re's Professionals of Color & Allies ERG, part of the Company's D,E & I initiatives. Previously, as a Senior Business Architect I worked closely with key Business areas and IT to fully understand needs and challenges, to ensure end solutions were fully considered and requirements met.Originally a reinsurance underwriter of Motor and Liability classes based in London I have since overseen legacy portfolios on behalf of clients positioning for exit and managed the Outsourcing Services Department providing services to Live Clients. I have experience of managing and participating in large change projects.I have strong analytical skills and operational experience as well as a solid technical understanding.
