I was born and raised in Kennewick, WA, and then I moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington after graduating high school. I took a part-time job my senior year at UW in the Tech Center at University Book Store, and shortly after graduation I was promoted to a buying position, and eventually a management/program coordinator position. During my time in these positions, I was able to build my skills in procurement, management, social media, and effective communication. After roughly 12 years, I decided to seek out new opportunities and stumbled upon an office manager/executive assistant role at Pike13. Along with the usual scheduling and support duties, I implemented a snack program (with a tight budget), social event planning, and became the ultimate culture hero in a very shaky environment. I also did whatever I could to support HR & accounting. In a startup environment, the roles are constantly changing. I've enjoyed working behind the scenes to support our employees (my internal customers) and I've also had plenty of opportunity to engage with our external customers. Please see my Experience below for more details. Outside of my full-time job; dancing, cooking, and Seattle sports teams are my passions. I was a professional cheerleader for the Seattle Seahawks for five seasons, as well as the Washington Stealth Lacrosse dance team for one season. I chose to retire from professional dance in 2012, and since then I've been teaching cardio dance classes at the University of Washington fitness facility for students, staff, and faculty. I am a certified judge with the Washington State Dance Drill Judges Association, working at statewide high school dance team competitions, including postseason Districts and State Tournaments. I am most successful when I have a lot on my plate and I thrive in a fast-paced environment. I'm dedicated and driven, and always seeking a new challenge.
