Andrea is an expert IP lawyer, her practice is focused on patent, new plant varieties, trademark and domain names litigation. She is also specialized on transactional law assisting successful operations of technology transfer, licensing and negotiation for national and international business as M&A operation of technology based business.She also is very active in pro bono activities and the research and promotion of local products produced by local communities and producers, contributing in the preparation and registration of Geographical Indications, Certification marks and Denominations of origin. Due to that experience she has participated as speaker in numerous seminars and workshops related to GI’s to promote social developments using IP tools.Thought her career she has successfully carried out a large amount of legal actions on domain names, trademarks, plant varieties and patent issues in Chile. Her practice has developed over the years assisting Universities, technology transfer offices, spin offs, start up, large business, foreign clients and investors in a whole range of IP matters. She has prepared intellectual property policies and regulations for companies, private and public universities, R&D centers among others. She is Past President of LES Chile AG and participate actively in the Patent Committees and the pharmaceutical group in ACHIPI and Geographical Indications of INTAAndrea is a member of the Chilean Association of Industrial Property (ACHIPI and AIPPI), and Chilean Society of Licensing (LES Chile) and International Trademark Association (INTA).
