About Andrea Vasquez

I have just completed my Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering. As such, I have a background in cross-functional engineering. Among some of my recent achievements, I have:-Quickly learned and executed tasks on the job at ECC Environmental (an environmental consulting firm). These included using AutoCAD to prepare engineering sheet sets (as described by project managers and staff engineers) in accordance to CADD standards, creating safety data sheet reference binders for nearly 50 Irvine Company shopping centers, and executing parts of the bidding process.- Spearheaded the system development life-cycle (concept to creation) of a novel green wastewater management system by organizing several preexisting design alternatives, developing novel combinations, evaluating the specifications against desired metrics, and drawing up systems. This led to a promising solution for Kounkuey Design Initiative to provide for a Kenyan community in need. -Successfully collected, organized, and evaluated data on engineering education. I managed the lab and authored multiple publications, becoming the first primary author of any student in the lab’s history. -Lead and managed in all sectors of Student Affairs. I secured funding for a peer education program (founded with close work alongside Deans) by presenting to the President, Cabinet, and Board of Trustees. I managed several teams and programs, saving the schools thousands of dollars and ushered positive institutional change for minority students.
