I am a board member at COSAL, LDA, one of the largest private groups operating in Angola, with 100% Angolan ownership, which spawns several industry sectors namely automotive, finance, tourism, real estate and construction. In the group’s traditional sector, automotive, the company manages top brands distribution, sales and after-sales support, with a 30% market share and physical presence in the main provinces in Angola.Prior to being at the board of COSAL, my academic background in Business Economics and 6 years’ experience as an assistant MD to group’s chairman, controlling accounts and supplier relations, gave me an opportunity as top pick for Managing Director for COMAUTO LDA, a group company. During the start-up of the Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi dealership, I was responsible for organizing the company structure and spearheads the project end-end according to the brand’s strict specifications.Following this project, I was involved in the Tourism area of the group participating in the project implementation of the Pululukwa Resort in the South of Angola, the implementation of Hotel Samba in Luanda and participated in the acquisition and subsequent refurbishment and re-launch of La Rochelle Lodge in Namibia close to Etocha Park.Subsequent to this I actively participated in the International Financing for the acquisition of a qualified share of Banco Caixa Totta de Angola, a Bank that is mainly detained by the Portuguese bank Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Spanish bank Santander.Recently I was also involved in the negotiations, implementation and launch of the industrial activity of Nestlé Angola, where Star Motors, a group company, holds participation. Presently, I am responsible for the finance, acquisitions and supply chain areas within COSAL and its group companies.
