About Andrea Maranger

I create stories for people who are making cell and gene therapies more accessible and affordable.Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, I grew up in a household that began a sentence in English and finished it in French. My interest in science took me to Queen's University in Kingston, Ont., where I completed a Bachelor's of Science (Honors) in Biology. Queen's fostered a culture of involvement and my participation in multiple clubs & volunteer positions kickstarted my professional development.Upon graduation, my goal was to start building a career related to my field of study. While testing out the job market for science grads in Ottawa, I stumbled upon an inside sales position at Thermo Fisher Scientific. My impeccable interpersonal skills and drive to succeed landed me the Rookie of the Year (Canada) award. This followed up with a promotion to an outside sales role in Montreal, Qc. As a representative for a large lab supplies and equipment distributor managing a fast-paced territory, I quickly learned the value of how to delegate effectively, problem solve with urgency and develop strong relationships with customers and vendor partners alike. My personal life changed my zip code to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I joined Bio-Techne as a Campaign Manager for the Cell & Gene Therapy business unit. In this role, I guided a team of graphic designers, content writers and digital marketing specialists to execute marketing campaigns that support product managers' and stakeholders' goals. I took a more strategic role as a Marketing Manager, implementing an annual planning process, crafting a messaging positioning framework and connecting the dots between the various Business Units.I now support 3 of 5 franchises as Senior Marketing Manager at Resilience, a technology company ushering in an era of Biomanufacturing-as-a-service.
