- 1990-1992 Operations Manager (Production, Logistics, Purchasing) of the Defense line (tank tracks and fuel tanks in rubberized fabric for aircraft, tanks, sport cars, and boats).In this role I was responsible for achieving the objectives set in terms of turnover, reduction of purchase costs, production efficiency, level of inventories, scrap reduction.In the same period, I also held, ad interim, the role of manager of the fuel tank technical office and that of manager of the rubber compound production line. Together with my team we carried out the development and qualification activities of the tank for the Sikorsky H-53 helicopter, supplied to the US Air Force, under a contract signed directly with the US Air Force which led to the production and the supply of 60 safety fuel tanks (self-sealing and crash resistant with a capacity of about 1500 liters of fuel each)- 1987-1989 product manager of the line of tracks and wheels for tanksIn this position I was responsible for the commercial and management of contracts with the Defense Administration, and I also coordinated the technical and operational activities relating to this product line.

- Researcher in the sector of special steels and, subsequently, of composite materials.During 1985 I carried out a 6-month internship at "The Welding Institute" in Cambridge (UK), focused on the phenomena of Fracture Mechanics and Fatigue applied to steels, with reference to their use in gas pipelines and oil platforms. During the internship I conducted an experimental research activity regarding fatigue phenomena in metallic materials, which led to the publication of two scientific articles on the subjectDuring 1987 I attended an advanced course on composite materials in Guildford (UK), lasting one week.
