During my time at Montclair Board of Education, I developed and provided lesson plans for grades 9 - 12 at all ability levels, ranging from college preparatory to advanced placement. As English Teacher, I partook in traditional as well as team teaching/inclusion courses to enhance productivity and efficiency. I was entrusted by the Montclair Board of Education to devise student-centered curriculum / develop assessments by using individual, small, and large group instruction. During my time over here, I balanced traditional and alternative assessments to accommodate variety of learning styles. As a part of this job role, I introduced multi-cultural literature into more traditional literature selections. It is worth mentioning that, I integrated state core curriculum standards by revising courses of study. I also carried out contributing in professional development and departmental responsibilities, while functioning as advisor to numerous clubs. Furthermore, I maintained Google classroom as one way of communicating with parents and caregivers.My achievements are as follows:• Conducted three annual public demonstrations of learning, including war rooms, social reform panel, and literary circles.• Spearheaded annual women's caucus with key female leaders predominately from school and town community.• Oversaw museum project as arts extension for Humanities course.

Within this job role, I created designated teaching team, most effective in positive influence on each student by delivering leadership and expertise needed. I was assigned with the task of increasing effectiveness of The Civics and Government Institute, a small learning community focusing on study of citizenship, government, and social issues. At a Lead Teacher, my core responsibility was performing key operations, such as scheduling, running, and creating agenda for team meetings, coordinating activities of teaching team / interdisciplinary units with team.
