Responsible for the Revenue Cycle Systems Support teams for Providence St Joseph Health and the Central Processing Department for internal lockbox services with $1 billion in annual cash flow. The Systems Support teams are focused on optimizing our core business systems and workflow processes by implementing automation and new systems capabilities to improve cash flow, increase revenue, and reduce costs. As Director of Revenue Cycle Technology, I partner with our Strategy and Innovation team to create our technology strategy and roadmap and coordinate with IT and key business stakeholders during project implementation.

Provided leadership for a team of 17 leaders and 200+ full-time employees responsible for internal lockbox and cash processing for insurance and patient payments for 27 hospitals and over 500 physician clinics in AK, CA, OR, WA, and MT. Responsibilities also included oversight for the cross-regional team for Revenue Cycle Systems Support which provides business analysis, production support, and EDI coordination services for all areas of the Revenue Cycle (Access Services, HIM, Hospital Billing, Physician Billing, and Customer Service).

Provided leadership, strategic planning, and management to further integrate and optimize the revenue cycle and supporting systems across all areas of Oregon Business Services. Overall revenue cycle readiness owner for the initial Epic system implementation for the hospital and clinic go-lives. Coordinated with revenue cycle leadership, IS, and the Epic vendor during the collaborative build process to bring resources from 5 states together to design the system build to be rolled out to 27+ hospitals and hundreds of clinics.

Responsible for managing complex information technology projects through all phases of the project life cycle. Prepared budget proposals and capital action plans for 2010 strategic capital projects for the Physician Business Office. Successfully implemented the enterprise ID and enterprise search functionality to enable Providence to link patient information across disparate systems as part of the Connected Registration Project. Lead the cross-regional Centricity Business informatics project to implement a separate reporting server and tool for analyzing data and developing custom reports and dashboards.

Developed project budgets, staffing requirements, and timelines for projects related to computer applications used within the Enterprise Program Management Office. Created the process and standards used for reporting of tactical and strategic performance metrics by collaborating with key stakeholders and understanding their reporting requirements.

Prepare business case for point of service (POS) project.Lead business, IT resources, and outside consultants to adhere to project budget and implementation plan for POS project planned for deployment across 8 geographic regions.

Key member of the management team responsible for the migration of the national pharmacy distribution center from Livermore, CA location to new Oakland, CA location. Managed a team of 3 project managers and the customer service team consisting of a supervisor and 4 staff members providing customer service and support to 150 pharmacies. Served as the business partner release manager for the warehouse management system.

Provided engineering and logistics support for 4 FedEx facilities comprised of 12 managerial work groups. Collaborated with corporate and regional engineers and managers on strategic planning projects to establish long term volume forecasts for package handling based on market specifications. Designed detailed operating plans including staffing requirements, productivity targets, aircraft/truck schedules, and equipment utilization goals for San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA airport ramp operations and 30+ freight pick-up and delivery routes.

Focused on process re-engineering and vendor management projects related to streamlining supply chain processes at the Webvan distribution centers. Key member of the conversion team tasked with coordinating the conversion of the HomeGrocer customer fulfillment centers to the Webvan software platform.
