As Head of Business Intelligence, my role is to: • Provide direction and leadership of the Central Intelligence Team.• Represent HMPPS by scrutinising and responding to external intelligence on behalf of the Agency.• Provide regular reports on the Group’s performance to the HMPPS Executive Management Committee, the Prison, Probation and Youth Custody Sub Boards, and the Operations and Systems Assurance Boards.• Oversee the production and communication of the quarterly review and the development of the performance frameworks. Your brief will also encompass performance indicator development with colleagues in MOJ and PPAS.• Lead the Group’s contribution to the reporting of OSAG performance and you will be responsible for the production and publication of the OSAG Delivery Plan and Monthly OSAG Performance Digest, taking overall responsibility for the content, liaison with team leads and the Head of Group.• Develop an integrated intelligence system within the Central Intelligence Team providing a streamlined reporting function that presents a national and local picture of delivery of offender services.• Manage the work programme of the group’s analysts and ensure their professional development needs are met.• Build strong working relationships with Ministers’ Private Offices, senior officials, external nondepartmental public body stakeholders and third sector partners.• To be the analytical lead on publications; supporting the analytical production of the publication, ensuring there is appropriate quality assurance and documentation, and providing senior analytical sign-off.• Develop professional working relationships with stakeholders, providing advice and good practice examples, sharing intelligence and knowledge gained from the wider system assurance work.• Identify themes and linkages across all Agency reporting to identify risks and issues and areas that need improvement.• Enable the team to complete quality work within tight and challenging deadlines.

As Senior Analyst I provide analytical support across SIU using specialist analytical modelling and financial techniques to aid in evidence-based policy development across several work streams. My role is to provide technical and analytical skills to combine knowledge gained from a variety of reports , both from internal sources and from Arms Length Bodies to develop a national picture in relation to the delivery of offender services across the wider system. I also develop and maintain our Data tool, previously held as a Access Data base but now transitioning to working on a cloud based server using R code to analyse, maintain and collate the data to provide Excel dashboards, Performance Reports, Intelligence Analysis and Ad Hoc Data Requests to various service users across HMPPS and wider MoJ. I provide analytical support to Custodial and Community Audit Teams across OSAG and currently manage three team members, supporting and developing their analytical skills through training, mentoring and supporting them.

In my spare time I design and make beaded jewellery. Designs are all original and can be made up to customer specifications and colours and are made by hand by me. I also make Polymer Clay Cabochons , Resin Cabochons and am currently influenced by Gothic Designs.

Working in the IP Enforcement and Capacity Development Team, acting as Deputy Head of Capacity Building and Delivery for Intellectual Property Enforcement in the UK my duties are wide ranging and varied. On a daily basis I am required to  Manage a wide range of stakeholders to maintain effective working relations and develop innovative partnership coalitions that help deliver the Government's strategy and objectives for IP enforcement. Create and project manage a departmental tasking process using IT and tasking meetings to coordinate activity between the team and private and public sectors domestically and internationally in order to build IP enforcement capacity and deliver enforcement interventions that benefit the UK. Collect, analyse and draw inferences on material, reports and other data that better inform on the scale, nature, threat and harms of IP infringement, and utilise this information effectively for policy development. Maintain close liaison with all Enforcement and other IPO colleagues to ensure that there is accountability and measurement of departmental progress against the IP Enforcement Strategy and to ensure that stakeholders' and partners' performance is monitored and recorded. Develop and deliver a range of presentation and training material for use at home and abroad aimed at tailor-made programmes to build the capacity for effective IP enforcement. Implement specific projects in support of IPO and Government objectives and strategies Support and contribute to building and maintaining delivery structures and crosscutting processes that improve the UK capacity for IP enforcement.

As the Tactical Co-ordinator/Senior Analyst at the IPO my role is To Coordinate and manage the tasking processes within the IPO and engage with partners to ensure the effective dissemination of IPO tasks and to manage actions from the tasking processes. To compile and manage the organised crime group mapping processes as required to a high standard. To provide support through this process to the head of the intelligence hub, preparing briefings and documentation for circulation to partners and other government agencies. To identify trends, patterns, series especially identifying cross border criminal networks. Carry out gap analysis identifying future areas for analysis. To ensure the integrity of any analysis conducted by maintaining the security of data and keeping abreast of legislative and procedural changes in the field of criminal analysis. To liaise with Local, Regional and National analysts to identify cross border crime within the terms of the UK Intellectual Property Office. In that liaison to also share best practice and inform the sharing process. By attending meetings and briefings, inform investigatory officers of the results of analysis Prepare bulletins and briefing documents that inform the investigation process.  To assist in the preparation of intelligence packages on targets. At the direction of the management team carry out any other relevant inquiries or analysis. Represent the IPO at National and International forums.

As the RIO/Intelligence Analyst for Wales Trading Standards my role is to :-- Encourage and continue to develop the use of NIM within Trading Standards in Wales.- Provide analytical assistance and support to Trading Standards across Wales- Intelligence Development- Developing and producing intelligence products, such as Problem Profiles, Network Analysis and hotspot maps to help in work prioritisation.- Produce the tactical assessment - Developing close relationships with the Welsh Police Forces and other third party agencies at both local, regional and national levels- Monitor and analyse various databases on a regular basis- Report on Regional Performance Figures regularly- liaise with the local authorities within Wales on intelligence related matters-audit and maintain the NID Previously employed by Gwent Police as an Intelligence Researcher, I have gained practical experience working within the National Intelligence Model at local and regional levels.Trained at NPIA in March 2009 in Intelligence Foundation Module and intelligence Analysts Module.
