In brief - I joined my previous employ in 1996 as Credit Controller dealing with GP's and PCT's directly in the good old fundholding days. After a couple of years and after building some good relationships with the PCT's I was asked to join the implementation team becoming an Installation Manager overseeing the deployment of new systems and upgrades into GP surgeries. With a keen eye for detail and good organisation skills I was promoted to Product & Quality Manager responsible for the department's processes, documentation and product catalogue dealing with end user customers, suppliers, internal departments and senior management directly . I then moved into the position of Contracts Manager overseeing a team responsible for implementation of the then new GPSoC contract ( currently NHS Digital), together with many others. With new governmental guidelines in the healthcare industry. I played a huge role in setting up systems to on-board third party companies who's software and services offered enhanced services to that of our own solution for the benefit of the end user i.e. the GP and more importantly you and me the patient! As a subject matter expert and from a role I loved and devoted my working life to for 25 years, restructure meant my role/services were no longer in keeping - I thank reluctantly in some ways the outcome as I have had chance to spend more time with my new grandson Xander.But I am not ready for the scrap heap just yet - lots of experience yet to impart š - up to date with all the NHS guidelines for GDPR / Data Protection plus many more.
