I have 17 years of educational and hands-on experience under my belt in multiple fields, including fine art, education, safety, fitness, and customer service. All of these have come together to support my chosen career in occupational therapy, where I address mental and physical health concerns of individuals or groups. I have been actively applying my knowledge and experience while completing fieldwork in the inpatient rehabilitation and school settings where I have created new devices for interventions and educated patients/clients on home routines or other relevant topics. During my capstone experience in the child welfare setting, I have developed and implemented a community program for resource parents for cultivating resilience using play to build connections with their foster children.
