CurrentLeads the NPS FOIA, e-Discovery Response and Records Management (FERMM) programs by serving as the Supervisory Program Manager. Serves as principal expert advisor to NPS upper management in the areas of Legacy Preservation, records management, FOIA, and e-Discovery. Implements and enforces Federal Records Act requirements and Department records management policies. Leads the Council on Legacy Preservation and FOIA (CLPF). Directs the Servicewide transition from paper-based records management and FOIA response methods to efficient electronic processes utilizing existing information technology solutions (e.g., shared drives, cloud computing, etc.) and enterprise-wide (Departmental) information systems such as eERDMS.
Command Records Manager
Oversees ONI, Detachment Newport, RI records programs. Coordinates with detachment and Naval War College personnel to ensure that their needs are met and that records management practices are consistent throughout the command. Coordinates Records Management Program Implementation, organization and maintenance with directorate level managers. Ensures that directorate level managers understand statutory and regulatory requirements and that their programs are in adherence therewith. Provides timely, concise reports to the chain of command concerning records management program process and adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements. Prepares external reports as required. Records Maintenance involves about 1.5 million records composed of personal subjects, impersonal subjects, and generic titles many of which cover highly sensitive intelligence and related S&T areas. Responsible for ONI records stored at NMIC, Federal Records Centers and other agencies throughout the National Capital region, and records determined to have enduring value. Evaluates information programs based on knowledge of ONI’s mission, functions and organization, sufficient to meet ONI maritime intelligence needs. Knowledge of intelligence community and technical terminology to apply and respond to ONI Maritime intelligence needs with identification and implementation of services and products. Performs the full breadth of supervisory duties to include: plan work to be accomplished by subordinates; provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employee; head and resolve complaints from employees; identify developmental training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development training; initiate ways to improve production or increase the quality of work directed, and develop performance standards. Execute funding, personnel and resource needs.
Electronic Records Management Systems Engineer (Booz Allen Hamilton)
