Visual Merchandising:- create and update the Merchandising Standards Manual for distribution to stores- create and update the Merchandising Standards Workbook for distribution to stores to train new and existing store staff- work with Learning & Development on the creation of a the Merchandising Standards eLearning program- create and update the Hardware Set Up Book to be distributed to the Store Design team and filtered down to contractors setting up new stores. This book covers the set up for wall standards and fixture standards.- work with Store Design on new store floorplans. Review the plans to ensure they have all the correct fixtures, in the right places.Internal Marketing:- work with Purchasing and Operations to create communication packages for stores to train associates on key products and innovations arriving as part of a seasonal campaign- work with Learning & Development, Operations, Purchasing and Branding to create online e-learning modules to tie into the seasonal campaign packages to further enhance the training of store associates on key products and innovations- create a semi annual Marketing calendar to send to stores, including dates for flyers, in store promotions, merchandising set ups, event nights, etcPublic Relations:- work closely with the current PR agency and the PR Manager to create Public Relations campaigns to be presented to the media - proof all media releases to ensure information is current and accurate- coordinate current samples with Purchasing and the PR agency to ensure all samples are available and sent to the PR agency for media events- proof all media event materials to ensure correct company information, product information and product pricing- keep Purchasing informed of all PR being executed, as well as all coverage received in a season- attend media events as a representative of Mark's, meet with the media and talk to them about Mark's, the products and the vision for the current season

Work closely with the Buyer to - create purchase orders to reflect agreed upon quantities and costs, and send to vendors- maintain store inventory levels through creating reorders with the vendors or moving product around between stores- execute promotional and seasonal markdowns- proof flyers to ensure correct product information, price and images- provide product samples to the Marketing team for photography purposes, provide product descriptions to the Marketing and Web teams for advertising- run time tests to ensure the advertised message being used meets the Competition Act guidelines- attend vendor meetings, corporate meetings, department meetings and internal buying meetings as requiredBikes Specific tasks:- work with the vendors and warehouses to ensure the right amount of product is going to the right warehouses- keep track of current stock in each warehouse- creating product transfers to move bikes out of the warehouse to the stores requiring inventory- keep up to date on bike style trends by city to ensure stores in those cities have adequate inventory of the styles that are best sellers- keep up to date on helmet laws by city to ensure that cities who have mandatory bike helmet laws are well stocked in bike helmetsSnowboard Specific tasks:- work with the buyer on setting up package pricing for snowboard and binding deals- ensure product selection is suitable to the market
