CurrentInstrumental to the success of a large organization serving more than 10 000 clients across the province with a personal caseload of approximately half of this population. Establish genuine relationships with vested parties and expertly collaborate with colleagues, social workers, therapists, health care professionals, law enforcement, government officials and other community organizations in order to implement individual intervention and improvement plans for success. ● Received Exemplary Teaching Award - March 2021● Monitor caseload to proactively identify potential barriers and provide early intervention strategies and referrals. The majority of our clients have a medical or learning disability and are at risk mainly due to anxiety, depression, drug use, cancer, chronic illness, sudden injury, trauma or family tragedy. ● Develop, facilitate, implement, monitor and modify individualized plans for client success.● Liaise and collaborate with colleagues, clients and external support networks to build partnerships, develop plans and resolve conflicts to ensure all needs are being met. ● Maintain ongoing detailed records of clients’ program, progress and interventions and share these findings on a regular basis. ● Chair meetings where diverse client requirements are discussed and act as an advocate for their needs.● Interpret, analyze and discuss external policies and legislation then through collaboration adjust internal policies and procedures accordingly. ● De-escalate issues that staff members and clients are experiencing including ‘on the spot’ transfers. ● Trained and mentored four Academic Counsellors from the northern Alberta region providing problem solving assistance, guidance, and resources.● Recognized by administration, coworkers, clients for outstanding performance. Known for empathetic and genuine relationships within and outside of the organization
