I lead communications at Partnership to End Addiction, a national nonprofit founded by former U.S. Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare, Joseph A. Califano, Jr., dedicated to transforming how our nation addresses addiction. The organization provides personalized support and resources for families impacted by addiction, while mobilizing policymakers, researchers and health care professionals to more effectively address addiction systemically on a national scale. We recently re-launched our new name and brand with a new public awareness campaign "Start with Connection," which raises awareness about the importance of personal connection in addressing addiction. I then spent nearly a decade writing and executing internal and external communications for top tier-health care clients Eli Lilly and Bristol-Myers Squibb where I gained extensive experience translating complex scientific and clinical information into layman’s language through a variety of communications materials.
