-Liaising with principal, clients, contractors, consultants, vendors and employees.-Overseeing the design for the client and ensuring that the designs fit with the client's expectations. -Selecting all furnishings for approval by the principal in charge.-Maintaining the project's overall design direction and aesthetic as outlined by the principal.-Development & management budget in conjunction with the principal and design assistant/project manager.-Managing the quality control of the project.-Managing the delivery of the project. -Managing the mentoring of the design staff.-Overseeing the installation.-Overseeing the management and refining project schedule's established by Principal's master schedule based on project roll out and materials and vendor availability.Day to day included:-Sourcing of design elements, and research and introduction of new vendors and lines that enhances the design and profitability of the overall business.-Budgeting: understanding and maintenance of budget as directed by principal designer.-Scheduling: scheduling and management of competing priorities, understanding of project critical path, and adherence to and ownership of deadlines. -Managing Cad work as needed for project communication.-Hand-rendering of floor plans and elevations as needed. -Excel work as needed for project communication of budgets, construction schedules and production schedules.-Overseeing of installations and job-sites, quality control of all finished products installed in project.-The ability to keep detailed project notes to facilitate communication and understanding of project details, product specifications, project objectives and goals. -Client presentation prep that addresses project vision and objectives in a way that inspires and is easy to understand.
