I perform demographic research, statistical analyses and document socioeconomic data trends for the City of Aurora's geographies. I utilize a variety of data sources such as Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, other city departments and various county and state agencies. I provide data that supports the development and implementation of Aurora Places, the city’s Comprehensive Plan, neighborhood plans, transportation corridor plans, and special area plans. I also integrate data and demographics with Geographic Information Systems to display, analyze and evaluate development trends to support various projects and initiatives within the Planning Department, other city departments, and with various community partners.Most recently I have also undertaken a Geographic Information System Specialists role. I support the long-range planning function of the department on projects, plans and grant applications that have GIS/cartography or data analysis aspects in addition to maintaining our department's SDE database, REST API, and open data catalog.

I do and handle a variety of things at the City of Aurora. I was brought on as a call center employee in the Building Division in March. I deliver customer service to many people over the phone and via email pertaining to building code, permits and licensing. Since then I have started training and working in the Planning Department as the GIS Addresser and most recently on socioeconomic planning.
