During my fieldwork I conducted evaluations and completed written reports to determine students eligibility for occupational therapy services. I provided mandated treatment to students in the least restrictive environment to address fine-motor, graphomotor, visual-motor and sensory-processing skills. I was responsible for completing electronic documentation immediately following sessions.

My role as Division Leader for the Daisy Recreation Program included creating activities and schedules for participants and staff to follow. I was also responsible for assigning counselors to work with individual campers on a daily basis and supervised their interactions.

During my clinical rotation at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, I evaluated and implemented client-centered treatment sessions for diverse patient populations and diagnoses on an inpatient addiction psychiatry unit. I completed written documentation, including initial evaluations, functional and progress notes. I was responsible for co-leading a variety of groups including self-care, relapse prevention, stress management, sensory, social, leisure and creative exploration groups. I had the opportunity to contribute input to patient’s treatment team regarding attendance in groups and their readiness for discharge.

As the teaching assistant my responsibilities included creating practice questions for students based on weekly lectures, holding weekly office hours to assist students with questions pertaining to lectures or exams, and grading worksheets and exams in conjunction with the professors.

While working towards my Master's Degree I participated in an independent study with a peer to address meaningful goals of a stroke survivor who experienced aphasia and hemiparesis. Intervention activities included dressing, feeding and meal preparation, leisure participation, assistive technology education and caregiver education.
