- Piloted a community engagement program promoting nature-based solutions to climate change in the Fraser Valley, called Step to It.- Developed and executed a comprehensive communication plan; created content for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, wrote monthly newsletters, designed promotional materials like hats, t-shirts, tote bags and stickers, and made appearances on podcasts, radio shows, and cable TV shows to promote the program.- Facilitated community stewardship groups in two separate municipalities, organizing one event permonth for each group, recruiting volunteers to become members of these groups, and working with municipal staff and council members to promote the program.- Conducted outreach at local community events to get face-to-face with the target audience and facilitated focus groups to learn what language resonates best with this audience.- Tracked program’s KPIs and performance metrics, and generated reports for the funder, Environment and Climate Change Canada

- Attended to 6 youth at a time, ages 14 - 24, all of whom had complex barriers- Supervised clients using the overdose prevention site, responding in the event of an overdose- De-escalated arguments between clients and provided emotional support for clients in distress - Gave harm reduction supplies and education to clients and community members - Maintained an orderly, comfortable shelter environment so clients could feel safe and rested during their stay

- Ensured the safety and comfort of up to 75 clients staying at the shelter each night- Responded with Naloxone in the event of an overdose, and gave harm reduction supplies and education to clients- Performed administration tasks including booking clients into beds, making appointments with case workers, writing critical incident reports, recording notable events and behaviours in client files, helping clients fill out waivers and paperwork, and performing client intakes and orientation- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing surfaces according to COVID-19 protocols, laundering bedding, ensuring storage and donation areas were organized, doing property checks and cleaning up used harm-reduction supplies- De-escalated arguments between clients using non-violent conflict resolution

- Responsible for all activities in the dining room: setting tables, serving drinks, lunch, appetizers, and a three-course dinner, and cleaning up after meals- Helped the chef with food preparation in between meals- Upon arrival, ensured guests signed waivers and received their fishing licenses.

Bella Bella, British Columbia, Canada

- Responsible for the cleanliness of the boats and dock, and provided all 25 guests with an unforgettable fishing experience- Scrubbed an unbelievable amount of dried fish blood off boats- Pumped the boats full of gas- Docked and reparked boats- Unloaded, weighed, and recorded all the fish caught by guests- Fetched all refreshments and tackle required by the guests- Oriented guests to the boats, equipment, and Fisheries regulations.
