I have recently gone back to my old position at the Growth Company in Longsight, I have been a hairdresser for 32 years and also worked in childcare for 10 years. I have been teaching now for 6 years and I have gained plenty of different kinds of experiences from level 3 first aid to safeguarding. I have mentored student teachers, which I found really rewarding and I also wanted to gain some mental health training, which I have now completed. I have taught level 1 Hair and Childcare and I have had some experience teaching level 2 and 3 hairdressing but it has mainly been level 1 delivery. I was awarded a grade 1 in 2019 for my teaching. I have been a remote tutor/assessor working from home during Covid. I delivered and assessed TQUK level 2 certificate in understanding children and young peoples mental health, introducing caring for children and young people, understanding behaviour that challenges and understanding specific learning difficulties. I supported a caseload of around 50 to 70 learners to complete these courses independently. Completing regular reviews and setting SMART targets to keep the learners on track.
