I have 10+ years of experience designing and implementing strategies to support employee wellness in a corporate environment. As a Certified Wellness Practitioner, and Wellness Business Partner at PGW, I utilize health metrics and employee data to identify topics for programming. I curate content and innovative educational experiences designed to meet the needs of a diverse employee population, create a culture of wellness, and improve productivity. My initiatives have resulted in greater employee access and engagement with wellness best practices. Wellness is my second act. I spent the first half of my career as a Graphic Designer and Fine ArtsProfessor. It turns out the two worlds are not mutually exclusive. In my current position, I often employ strategies of Design Thinking - viewing problems from different angles, and developing multiple solutions, before making a final decision. I also use my talents as a writer and visual communicator to promote corporate activities and events.When I am not preaching Wellness, I am living it. I am a Try-Athlete . . . I will try anything! I havepursued many athletic challenges, and won medals and awards in multi-sport competitions includingtriathlon, climbing and weightlifting. I am a passionate bicycle enthusiast! I own three bikes, and a membership to Indego, our local bike share program. I do my best to get adequate sleep, and reduce stress through physical activity, readings, and self-reflection. I also take pride in being present and supportive for others.Recently, my artist self has re-emerged. I've have been working with photography, collage, and small constructions. I also enjoy spending time with family, hiking, and wrestling with my cat. I sincerely believe that health is our greatest wealth, and that optimal wellbeing is a continual balancingact between the mind, body, and spirit.
