As an event sales coordinator at The Ranch at Las Colinas, I combine my BBA in accounting from the University of North Texas with my passion for event organizing and communication. The Ranch is a venue that attracts 600-800 guests on average for dinner service. I collaborate with the team to execute successful corporate and social events of various sizes and themes. The day to day entails ensuring that the process is in order — site visits, contracts, menus, timelines, constant communication with event host, and managing the financial aspects of each event, such as closing checks with TripleSeat. I also had the opportunity to work with the venue’s marketing team to help market the venue on social media. My main goal in this role is to create memorable and successful events that exceed the guest’s satisfaction and generate repeat business and referrals. In turn, I have been able to create meaningful relationships with people whilst refining my own skills in various facets of the hospitality industry.
