My work history experience is documented on my home page and I will shortly post a resume. I am well versed in all areas of restaurant management. I know how to keep my staff happy and productive. I have excellent communication skills and I love to pass that on to others. There is a lot of psychology involved in that as well. I loved my retail job as well, but I am truly interested in furthering my career in the restaurant industry. I would like to see how far I can go. My goals are always evolving, but they all have to do with making my life more productive. I would love to enter a company with growth potential to perhaps become a regional manager or district manager. I have the brains and personality to make that happen.Specialties: My main specialty is to have guests have the best dining experience of their lifetime. They tell a friend, and then they tell a friend. The "word of mouth" method is huge for getting new business as well as return business. I am a proven leader and I am not afraid to tell my employess the truth. I never come from a place of anger. I strive to communicate in a loving, caring manner. I do not allow negativity in my restaurant. It changes the mood of the servers and kitchen staff as well.

General ManagerSabrina'S Cafe Aug 2005 - Feb 2011I electively left my job at Sabrina's Cafe to move on in my career. If you're looking for an honest, fun, hard-working, team player, I'm your girl. I was a great employee for many years, but I just was not getting anywhere in my career.

Catering Manager/Restaurant ManagerMarathon Grill Feb 2003 - Jun 2005I worked at the busiest catering company here in the City of Brotherly Love. We sent out at least 300 orders per day. I was constantly busy and loved it. I also maanaged 3 of our busiest resturants as a "floating" manager. I learned a lot about the business working there and these are practices I stilk use on a daily basis.

Server/BartenderStriped Bass Sep 1999 - Dec 2004I worked at this restaurant for many years. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I learned about serious fine dining there. We were a four star restaurant located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. My fellow employees were wonderful and embraced me with open arms when I first started. They hired very few women there, and I was honored to be chosen. The ride was somewhat bumpy due to some problems that the owner had incurred. Unfortunately, the restaurant had to be closed down. I stayed until the very end. I am a loyal employee and didn't want to leave due to some financial hardships. But it was there that I truly learned to appreciate the nuances of wine, food and wine and food pairings. It was a great training ground for someone who had very little fine dining experience. I am grateful for the time that I worked there.

Franchise Consutant/Store ManagerColor Me Mine Apr 1996 - Aug 1999I started at Color Me Mine as an hourly employee. This business was a mom and pop "Paint your own pottery" store. When I started, they had two locations. I worked in the Santa Monica store. I loved that job. It allowed me to be creative, have fun, give excellent customer service (to celebrities and "regular" people alike). The owners took notice of my hard work, my regularity, my excellent abilities to thrive in this new, fun store. I was quickly promoted to assistant manager, and finally manager of my own store in Beverly Hills. The company got bought out by another company based in LA and they started selling franchises. They had another manager sent to New Jersey to open our first franchise. After a week of him being there I received an emergency call from our Director of Operations that I needed to go to New Jersey that day (I had one hour to prepare) to open this store the proper way. The other manager was sent back to his store in LA. I, however, was able to train the franchise owner, help hire employees, train the employees, and set up the store according to the floor plan guidelines. This job was amazing. I was able to travel the country opening stores and training staff and owner. This was my dream job. When there were no franchises to open, I went back and managed my store in Beverly Hills. Due to downsizing, I was let go. It was a quite unhappy moment in my life and I wasn't quite sure what to do, so I moved back to Philly and decided to be with my family. I kind of fell back into the restaurant business where I have remained ever since.
