Women and men who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy need a place where they will find the support they need and can trust. As the largest network of pregnancy help organizations in the world, we train organizations to provide compassionate care and essential resources so that no woman feels isolated at a critical moment in life. From pregnancy tests and ultrasounds to parenting classes and diapers, we are with the family throughout the pregnancy and beyond!

My job is to help non-profit organizations make the most of their events. I developed FunFrugalMama.wordpress.com as a place to store fun and frugal ideas for me and my friends. Then I thought, well, I’m pretty certain that others could easily benefit from some of these little tips and tricks, and it expanded. The site includes various activities families can enjoy while keeping tabs on their budgets.

We want to tell the world how we Reach and Rescue women and men in need and empower them to make positive choices in their lives through our pregnancy help network.How I did it:- Implement internal communications calendar to increase organization efficiency;- Coordinate and manage external e-communications;- Oversee public relation efforts through press releases and social media – increasing Facebook “friends” by 250% in 12 months;- Develop marketing materials (advertisements, brochures, and programs) using Adobe Suite CS5; and- Nurture existing relationships and create new partnerships.

From finding the location, to analyzing the results... My team and I set up, implemented and followed-up annual conferences and trainings for Heartbeat International. With well over 70 workshops, 8 keynote speakers, and more than 60 exhibitors on-site in a training week, there was a lot to do! With wonderful support, Heartbeat was able to educate, inspire, and refresh those working in the Pregnancy Help movement.How I did it:- Coordinate multiple annual trainings including conferences for over 1,000 people (including more than 60 exhibitors, 70+ workshops, and eight keynote speakers) and multiple regional events;- Maintain and Balance budget for each training;- Act as the primary contact for venue, vendors, speakers, and attendees; and- Create post-event reports tracking all information from attendance to expenses.

Throughout my time at Ohio State, I had the benefit of working for WBNS Radio in the Promotions Department. I learned so much about various styles of events and have implemented what I had learned into later positions. My time at the station also gave me an opportunity to work with some great people!
