As the Primary Years Programme Coordinator on the upper primary campus, I have been involved in the process of obtaining the PYP Authorization. My responsibilities as the primary coordinator include conducting and supervising planning meetings, observing the learning process, and leading in-house professional development sessions. I also encourage agency among team members and create opportunities for them to share their knowledge and expertise in workshops. Furthermore, I prepare for and lead parent education/information sessions. I collaborate with team members to establish and organize events that strengthen the school community, such as Friday assemblies, Sports Day, Book Week, Graduation ceremonies, Spring and Winter Celebrations, and Women's Day, etc.

As part of my job, I had the following responsibilities:- Collaborating with my grade-level colleagues to develop and implement IB-aligned lesson plans.- Maintaining consistent communication with parents and keeping records of students' progress through regular assessments.- Working with other teachers to review and analyse student data.- Preparing and organising students for exhibitions of learning and student-led conferences.

As part of my role, I was responsible for:- Providing staff with opportunities for continuous professional development through a comprehensive induction program, school-led workshops, external workshops, appraisal, feedback, and the sharing of best practices.- Conducting classroom observations as directed by the Principal/Director.- Supporting staff in planning to meet the needs of the students.- Recommending appropriate resources to meet the educational needs of the students.- Attending grade-level weekly planning meetings to guide staff on issues such as consistency in homework.- Coordinating with leadership and heads of departments in planning field trips, after-school activities, school events, and celebrations.- Ensuring that staff are fully aware of and adhering to school policies.- Supporting the Principal/Director in Primary School procurement of resources, recruitment, and staffing needs.- Ensuring effective communication with parents regarding the PYP.- Ensuring effective communication with staff regarding all matters of the PYP.- Ensuring ongoing and timely communication with IBO regarding all PYP matters.- Taking responsibility for other duties assigned by the Principal.

During my time as a homeroom teacher for Grades 1-4 students, I was responsible for planning and implementing lessons based on the IB curriculum. My duties also included managing daily classroom activities, monitoring students' academic performance and behaviour, and communicating with parents about their child's progress. To gauge their progress, I conducted regular formative and summative assessments, and assigned projects that encouraged active learning. These projects helped students understand various aspects of their lives, including their family, relationships, community, and the world around them.

As a teacher for Kindergarten 2 (4-year-olds) and Grades 1-3, my duties include planning and delivering lessons based on the National curriculum, managing the classroom on a daily basis, monitoring the students' progress and behavior, and conducting regular formative and summative assessments. I also maintain communication with parents about their child's progress and behavior. To promote active learning, I provide opportunities for students to complete projects that help them gain a better understanding of their body, family, and community.Moreover, I have established the school's performing arts program. I created the school's dance teams, choreographed national-winning pieces, and coached an all-boys choral speaking choir that won a national gold medal in their first year of participating in the country's Cultural Speech competition. I also provided guidance to start the school's choir.

During my time at HPS, I was responsible for planning and implementing lessons based on the newly introduced National curriculum for Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 4. I also closely monitored and managed the students' behaviour and academic progress on a daily basis. Additionally, I assisted the senior teacher in planning and teaching lessons to Grade 1 students who were between 6 to 7 years old. Furthermore, I served as a dance coordinator for the school's dance troupe.
