As an IT Support, I’ve had the opportunity to dive into the core of IT operations, where I’ve gained valuable hands-on experience while supporting the staff. My key responsibilities included:- Providing helpdesk support by troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware, and network issues.- Installing, configuring, and maintaining software on user workstations, ensuring systems are always up-to-date.- Managing user accounts and permissions, including full admin access to manage all Microsoft Office 365 for Business accounts, handling tasks such as user creation, license assignments, and troubleshooting.- Assisting users with Microsoft Office 365 tools and providing guidance on best practices and security protocols.- Documenting IT issues and resolutions, contributing to a comprehensive knowledge base for quicker future support.- Setting up and maintaining IT equipment, such as printers, scanners, and network devices, ensuring operational readiness.- Learning from experienced IT professionals, deepening my understanding of system administration, network management, and customer service.This role has not only allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in a practical environment but has also equipped me with the skills and experience necessary for a successful career in IT.

For my master’s thesis, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Seaborg Technologies on a cutting-edge project titled *“Shielding Requirements for a Compact Molten Salt Reactor.”* This experience was both challenging and deeply rewarding, providing me with a stimulating environment in which to apply my skills and learn from leading experts in the field of nuclear technology.Key aspects of my project included:- Conducting in-depth research and analysis on the shielding requirements essential for the safe operation of a compact molten salt reactor.- Utilizing Serpent, a powerful Monte Carlo code for reactor physics simulations, to model neutron transport and assess the effectiveness of various shielding materials.- Implementing Python programming to automate processes, analyze data, and visualize complex simulation results, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of my research.- Gaining a more in-depth knowledge of Compact Molten Salt Reactors (CMSR) and nuclear engineering in general, allowing me to understand the complexities and innovative approaches involved in the development of next-generation nuclear technologies.This project has been an important milestone in my academic and professional journey, allowing me to apply my knowledge in Physical Engineering to real-world challenges while collaborating with a forward-thinking company like Seaborg Technologies.
