As a practicum student at Kids and Company, I worked with ECEs in a preschool setting for children aged 4-5. I observed the techniques and strategies of the ECEs and with time, began to take on more responsibility in the role. I planned and facilitated activities for the children in small- and large-group settings, planning activities based on the children's interests and changing them as necessary to incorporate emergent curriculum. I had several observation sessions, documenting my observations and using the knowledge I gained in my classroom activities.
