My Ikigai (Japanese term for your reason for being) is to teach people how to improve their dog's mental and physical health, which will improve their own wellbeing, too. Ikigai is the overlap of four things: (1) what you're good at (2) what you love (3) what the world needs (4) what you can be paid for. When I first identified by Ikigai in 2019, it was to help people understand the overlap between their emotional and financial wellbeing. The core of my Ikigai has stayed the same, but the application has evolved as a result of new information and changes in my life over time. Before identifying my Ikigai in 2019, I held roles at well-known companies but never felt fulfilled and was prone to burnout. After 2019, I sought out employment that aligned with my reason for being, and joined Eightfold.ai because I think our career choices do influence our emotional and financial well-being, as well as other elements of wellness. In 2021, my husband and I brought home a goldendoodle named Maggie and she has positively impacted our lives in many ways, including shifting our career trajectories. Now, my husband and I are co-founders of Pack Animals, a mobile app for the future of dog guardianship. If you have a dog, want a dog, or generally believe that dogs and humans influence each other's well-being, then let's talk!Previous Certifications Include: Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) member and Series 7, Series 63 and Series 57 registered representative.
