I am a software engineer, currently employed as a Data Scientist at Verizon Connect in Florence, Italy.The main focus of my work is semantics extraction and reconstruction from several data sources, such as video and telematics signals, in the field of connected vehicles; this allowed me to develop a good and up-to-date knowledge of both applied and theoretical machine learning, as well as the ability to proficiently handle several tools (programming languages, data visualization libraries, BI services, etc) in the vast Applied Data Science ecosystem.In my early career I worked as a software developer , gaining the ability to work smoothly using a broad range of programming and markup languages (Java, Lua, JavaScript, C++, Matlab, PHP, HTML, CSS, LaTeX, ...) and in different fields of research and application.I obtained my masters degree at the University of Florence in 2018, with a score of 110/110 cum laude, with the thesis "Imojine: gamified crowdsourcing of emoji attribute embeddings for image recognition".I also obtained my bachelor's degree at the same University in 2014, with a score of 110/110 cum laude, with the thesis "Contextual social networking in action: improving airport passenger experience"; this was later the basis for a scientific paper that was presented at the ACM MultiMedia Conference in Brisbane in 2015.
