As a Computer Vision Engineer in Acteon, part of my daily business is dealingwith images, point cloud and meshes. In particular:• I am developing algorithms for 3D simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM) project including point cloud generation, ICP algorithms for objecttracking, pose prediction, meshing and general quality enhancement of 3Ddata.• I am using classical computer vision techniques such as SGM (Semi-Globalmatching) and feature extraction algorithms to deal with 2D images. Itypically work with OpenCV, but, to improve time performances, I alsolearned to deploy CUDA kernels.• The other half of my job is working on an AI based solution applied tosemantic segmentation and object detection. In this opportunity I amlearning to manage data in the medical field, iteratively update convolu-tional neural networks in a real case scenario and deploy the model in asoftware solution.During this experience I am:• Using mainly C++ and CUDA to deploy the pipeline core code. CMake isused to build it.• While Python for fast prototyping and the Deep Learning solution. Theframework used is PyTorch along with other Deep Learning tools suchas PyTorch Lighting and Tensorboard for training, TensorRT and ONNXfor network deployment. Other Python/Scientific tool I used are NumPy,SciPy, pandas, Scikit-learn Matplotlib and Seaboarn

The main job was to design and develop software packages for the control of X-ray machines, from the automation to the image acquisition and processing. During this experience, I have built strong skills in Python, C++ and C# along with experiences in software architecture. This experience pursues my competence in Computed Tomography, Image Processing and Deep Learning. A successful project is the development, together with the German team, of a Deep Learning solution for the analysis of battery compliance in the NEV market. Lastly, this opportunity helped me to pursue one of my passions born in the university related to the physics of waves and radiation.
