About Andrea Nigro

- I currently have twelve years of early elementary teaching experience in two different states.- I I have been teaching private piano lessons for three years as well and am continuing to build my studio. - I conduct two choirs as a part of my current school job and am now in my second year of teaching a children's choir associatied with the NJ Conservatory of Fine Arts.- I have been involved in the writing, development and implementation of a new cirriculum in both districts I have worked in.- In my current district I just completed writing the elementary (1-5) vocal music curriculum for the district as a whole. - My goals include; continuing to expand upon my knowledge and experience as a teacher, musician and conductor, and continuing to help build and grow the music program in my current school district.Specialties: Early Childhood Music Education, Kodaly Methods, Curriculum writing and development
