· Create work schedule for Information Services Department. · Write monthly board reports for the Information Services Department. · Supervise up to four staff members in the Information Services Department and two Maintenance staff members. · Evaluate current services for their effectiveness and create plans for improving/changing service. · Handle complaints both from the public and staff. · Work on collection maintenance including weeding, missing items, and claims returned. · Market the library by writing weekly library schedule for publication in local paper, sending press releases to the media about special programming, creating advertisements when needed, and talking to the media when requested.· Maintain the library website for the entire library system.· Initiated KnowItNow Local (www.knowitnow.org) in Washington County, Ohio in partnership with the statewide KnowItNow24x7 Online Reference Service. · Serve as an e-mail provider as well as an Instant Message provider for the blind for the statewide KnowItNow24x7 Online Reference Service.· Oversee the budget for ordering reference materials, media relations, and adult programming.· Currently serving on the Ohio Library Council Reference and Information Services Division Action Council.

· Assist patrons with their information needs using both traditional and electronic resources. · Teach patrons how to use library catalog and databases available through Ohio Web Library. · Instruct various computer classes including Internet and Word Processing. · Weed collection as needed. · Prepare periodicals and Interlibrary Loan items for circulation. · Create weekly work schedule for the Information Desk. · Write weekly library schedule for publication in local paper. · Publish monthly board report for the Information Services Department. · Plan, implement, and oversee adult programs including: adult summer reading, book discussions, crafts, and other special programs. · Maintain patron records. · Fill in for Homebound Delivery personnel as needed, and perform tasks including taking new applications, selecting materials, and delivering materials.
