I am an environmental researcher, holding a Ph.D. in engineered nanomaterial (ENM) characterisation to support nanotoxicology. My current activities involve environmental exposure assessment of ENMs and ENM-based commercial products as well as investigation of ENMs interactions with natural particles and surfaces. My scientific background also includes knowledge in chemical safety and risk assessment (REACH and CLP) as well as in the investigation of aerosol formation processes by combining chemical experimental data, meteorological information and thermodynamic model. I have more than 7-years experience in the laboratory environment, with strong knowledge in characterization techniques for materials investigation (i.e. FT-IR, BET, TEM, SEM, DLS, CSA, ICP-MS, ICP-OES) and basic knowledge in chromatographic techniques (GC, HPLC and IC). In addition to analytical capabilities. I gained skills in writing EU-FP7 and H2020 proposals to acquire project funding independently. As a result, I managed to work both for EU projects and to develop independent research. Before starting PhD, I worked at Consorzio Venezia Ricerche (CVR), developing skills in research activity as well as in the application of Life Cycle Assessment methodology to different case studies. I achieved the master degree in 2009 (thesis entitled "Chemical characterization of gaseous pollutants and fine particle (PM2.5) in a suburban industrial site around Venetian area") at University Ca’ Foscari of Venice.I am author/co-author of 23 peer-reviewed papers (H-index via www.scopus.com: 16).
