A SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR with a passion for empowering people through education and inspiration, Andrea co-founded in 2006 ACT Training Services, a London-based social enterprise to provide employability skills to unemployed people. Over the years our company has trained some 8,000 people free at the point of delivery, enabling them to gain marketable qualifications and develop competencies that position them to move into employment or start their own business.In 2013 Andrea co-founded Camptys Foundation: a not-for-profit organisation that supports front-line organisations working with disabled people across the world - enhancing their learning, health and opportunities for play. With the help of people in the community, we consistently send gifts of books, toys, clothing and accessories to disabled children and their families residing in developing countries.Andrea enjoys writing and is a published AUTHOR of four non-fiction books: 1) Empowered - Original Inspirational Quotes for Life, love and Laughter; 2) Practical Business ABC - A guide for Budding Entrepreneurs 3) Jamaican Proverbs, People and Places as well as her most recent title: Blended and Special, a book for stepfamilies with disabled children. She also writes inspirational articles and blogs.Andrea is the INVENTOR of the Pocket Learner, an educational development system geared primarily towards the support of children deemed slow learners and those with special educational needs. This invention has gained many accolades and has provided a launchpad for Andrea’s professional speaking career as she seeks to empower families who are caring for a child with cognitive disabilities as she does.
