Currently re-positioning a series of industrial buildings as Industrial Arts, a creative ecosystem in Markham Ontario, Andrea has also founded its associated NPO programming arm Steelcase Art Projects whose mandate is to transform the industrial realm into sites for artistic experimentation through collaborations, commissions and projects. Among her many creative projects, she founded one of Canada's most widely read culture blogs (View on Canadian Art, 2005-2015) and in 2011 co-founded and was founding curator for the daily online art auction site Artbombdaily.com. Since 2023 she is co-publisher of Untitled: The Public Art Zine.Andrea is a writer and former art critic who works closely with select artists on ambitious international projects. She has become a passionate advocate for bringing arts and culture into unconventional spaces, particularly working with under-represented artists. She continues to write catalogue and exhibition texts, articles and reviews.She is on the Varley Art Gallery acquisitions committee and is a former member of the City of Toronto Public Art Commission.
