I am a thoughtful and experienced colorist who thrives at the crossroads of art, science and technology. Having studied art and film and spent years behind the lens as a photographer, I bring an artistic sensibility, resourceful attitude and technical rigour to all of my projects – I aspire to make the process enjoyable while delivering on vision. I have worked in the film industry for over 16 years – getting my start as a stills photographer, then film technician, editor and compositor before seizing the opportunity to become a colorist in 2006. My credits include Hollywood studio features like Neill Blomkamp‘s “Elysium” and “Chappie,” award-winning indies such as “Mandy” and “Prospect” and animated films like "Kahlil Gibran's 'The Prophet'. My work history includes some of the field’s leading post-production companies, including Deluxe, EFILM, Encore, Company3, and Digital Film Central.I have a genuine interest in my projects and have a team-driven attitude. I know how to read a room and focus energy to develop and refine the feel of a film – helping directors, cinematographers and producers to (re)find their voice during an often-chaotic and deadline driven post production process.My recent work includes look development for HBO’s award-winning series ’Watchmen’, supervising color for Seth Rogen’s ‘An American Pickle’ (HBOMax) directed by Brandon Trost (The Disaster Artist, This is the End) and final color for Netflix series, Naomi Osaka.I’ve been fortunate to share my enthusiasm for color and creative process at a cross-section of speaking engagements (NAB, LAPPG, Creative Mornings, Pecha Kucha), international publications (American Cinematographer, Post, Definition, Studio Daily) & industry events in Hollywood and beyond.To learn more or grade with me, email me!
