With my interest in Early Childhood, I applied for Early Admission Exercise (EAE), which led me to successfully entering Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Early Childhood Education. My internship experience was a fruitful one as I managed to maximise my experience there by taking a class of 38 K1 children, and teaching them everyday. With a large group of children, I constantly improved on my classroom management skills, with my mentor's guidance. Due to the bond I have with my colleagues and how I have adjusted to the culture at this centre, I continued working there after graduating, allowing me to lead a Playgroup and Nursery class.I am seen as a patient and caring person, as well as someone whom people could rely on. These traits led me to think that I could be someone who can nurture others to be unique individuals. Being able to experience teaching in different childcare centres has allowed me to grow a lot, not just as a person, but as a future preschool educator. I am excited to see how far I can go, and how much the children can take away from all my lessons.
