About Andrea Creel, Phd

I earned my PhD in Near Eastern Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2017. My studies focused on the history, religions, literature, languages, and archaeology of the ancient Middle East, especially Israel/Palestine and Jordan. I am a former National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and former Educational and Cultural Affairs Fellow at the W.F. Albright Institute for Archaeological Research. I am also a former curator at the Badè Museum of Biblical Archaeology in Berkeley, California. I have excavated with the DePaul University Field School in Historical Archaeology in Chicago, Illinois, the Leon Levy Expedition to Ashkelon in Israel, sponsored by Harvard University, and the Tel Jezreel Expedition in Israel, sponsored by the University of Evansville and the University of Haifa.
