As we grew, I grew and was able to help the company scale, secure funding and optimize financial processes through software implementation. As a finance manager, my “customers” are department leads, business partners, auditors and of course, our revenue generating clients. Each day, I learn from them and am inspired to advance and strengthen our financial operations. The most enjoyable part of my work is making numbers make sense and finding creative strategies to address business concerns. A few examples from my time at Skjodt-Barret include: • Worked with the CFO to identify $2M in SG&A savings to backstop revenue shortfall in 2019 • Supported CFO over multiple credit agreement negotiations in increasing funding from $30M in 2018 to $100M in 2024• Played a leadership role in annual third-party financial audits from 2012-2024, with clean audits (no significant findings)• Led the development of Skjodt-Barrett Financial Policy, an in-depth document credited as being “best-in-class” by Skjodt-Barrett Board of Directors and Audit Committee.• Led two successful ERP Implementations of Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 and Microsoft Dynamics D365 and was regarded as internal subject matter expert After a wonderful run with Skjodt-Barrett, I am excited to search for a new opportunity in the financial management space.
